Service development outlook
CSA and CCC services development focus is throughout 2022 and 2023 years. The projects have
been initiated to became operational services with the respective deadlines of 01.01.2024 and
01.01.2026.
In December 2023, the Baltic RCC issued a questionnaire to the Baltic TSOs regarding MEC service provision. The responses revealed that no Capacity Remuneration Mechanisms (CMs) had been implemented in the Baltic region. Consequently, the Maximum Entry Calculation (MEC) was not performed in 2024.
Additionally Baltic RCC has set out the implementation plan for all services set out in Article 37(1) of the Regulation (EU) 2019/943 and the initial implementation deadlines are set out in the table 1 below.
